Acceptance
Using the Cook It Again app or this website means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
What the app is
Cook It Again is a record-keeping utility. It stores the cooking settings, ingredient amounts, and notes that you enter, and gives them back to you later. It does not provide cooking instructions, and it does not evaluate anything you record.
No account, and local data
There is no account and no server holding your records. Everything you save is stored on your device, which means keeping it is up to you: exporting a backup is the only way a record survives losing, replacing, or wiping a phone.
Your content
What you enter remains yours. It is not reviewed, moderated, analysed, or used for any purpose — nobody else can see it.
Food safety and appliance differences
This is the most important section on the page. Cook It Again records what you tell it. It does not know what you are cooking, what state it was in when you started, or what your appliance actually does at a given setting.
Appliances vary — between models, between two of the same model, and over time. A setting that worked once is a note about the past, not a promise about the present.
Always follow manufacturer and packaging guidance, use safe food-handling practices, and verify safe internal temperatures with a thermometer. A timer reaching zero is not a statement that food is cooked.
Ingredient scaling
Scaling multiplies the ingredient quantities you entered. It is arithmetic assistance and nothing more.
It does not change cooking time, temperature, power level, or timed steps, and it does not consider batch size, appliance capacity, tray depth, or how food behaves in larger quantities. Judging those is yours to do.
No dietary, nutrition, allergen, or medical advice
Nothing in the app is advice. Ingredient names and amounts are your own notes: they are not checked against any allergen, nutrition, or dietary database, and no such database is consulted at any point.
If a dietary requirement or an allergy matters to what you are cooking, verify it against the actual packaging and ingredients rather than against a note you wrote.
Product metadata from third parties
The optional barcode lookup returns community-contributed data from Open Food Facts. It can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and no guarantee is made about its accuracy or availability. Every result is shown for you to confirm or correct before it is saved.
The lifetime unlock
Cook It Again is free to use with up to 5 saved items. The lifetime unlock is a one-time in-app purchase that removes that limit and enables backup export. It is not a subscription, and nothing recurs.
The price is set and displayed by the store in your own currency. It unlocks the app on the platform where the purchase was made.
Billing, restoring, and refunds
Apple and Google process every purchase under their own terms. Refunds are requested from the store, which decides them under its own policy.
Restore Purchases works with the store account that made the original purchase. Because the app has no account of its own, a purchase made on one platform cannot be transferred to the other.
Backup files
Backup is entirely user-initiated. Keeping an exported file safe, and choosing where it is stored, is up to you.
A backup written by a newer version of the app may not be readable by an older one; the app refuses such a file rather than restoring part of it. Purchase status is not carried in a backup.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app unlawfully, and do not attempt to circumvent its payment or security mechanisms.
Intellectual property
The app, its design, and its branding remain the property of their owner. Your own content and third-party data are not covered by that.
Availability and updates
The app may be updated, changed, or discontinued. Because your records are stored on your device rather than on a server, they are not removed by any of those events — but keeping a current backup is still the only protection against losing the device itself.
Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost goodwill, or lost or corrupted data, arising out of or relating to the app — whether the claim is based in contract, tort, strict liability, or anything else, and even if we were told such damages were possible.
This matters most in three places, named plainly because they are the ones that actually arise.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ten US dollars. The app is sold once for a small fixed price and has no recurring charge, so that figure is genuinely all there is.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, including damages for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limits above apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing here removes a right you cannot waive.
- Food. The app records settings you chose; it does not know what you are cooking or what your appliance does. Deciding that food is safe to eat is yours, as described under "Food safety and appliance differences" above, and we are not liable for the outcome of a cook or for any illness arising from food you prepared.
- Your records. Everything is stored on your device and there is no server copy. If the device is lost, damaged, reset, or if the app is deleted, your records go with it. Exporting a backup is the only protection, and it is yours to do.
- Reliance on a saved setting. A saved setting is a note about something that worked once, on that appliance, with that food, in that state. It is not a recommendation and not a prediction.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or reasonable legal cost brought by a third party and arising from your misuse of the app, your violation of these terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.
This is not intended to cover ordinary use of the app for its intended purpose, or any claim arising from our own acts or omissions.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If you live somewhere whose consumer-protection law gives you rights that cannot be set aside by agreement, those rights still apply and this section does not take them away.
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
If you installed from the Apple App Store
Your use of the iOS app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, in addition to these terms. Where the two differ on a point Apple requires, Apple’s terms govern that point.
These terms are between you and BluPoint Media, Inc., not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for it. If the app fails to conform to any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund what you paid for it; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation of any kind.
BluPoint Media, Inc., not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app — including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to meet a legal requirement, and any claim arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. BluPoint Media, Inc. is also responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes that party’s intellectual property rights.
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and on your acceptance of them Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The effective date at the top of the page changes with them, and continuing to use the app after that means accepting the revision.
